Flower Crowns

Hey girls!

I've been obsessed with flower crowns lately. Well, actually I've always been. I grew up in a Hippie family, going to an "alternative" Hippie school. Wearing flower crowns was something very normal when I was little. I haven't made a flower crown in years and I totally have a rage for it! Just didn't have the time. I've collected many examples of some gorgeous crowns. The first thing I will be doing on my day off is making one. For sure doing a tutorial on one of my creations very soon! Until then, I want to share some beautiful inspirational photo's and an easy tutorial of a super cute crown I found online today.

Wishing everyone a lovely week!

Homemade Coconut Lavender Conditioner

Hey girls! How are you?

Today I want to share a DIY for an amazing homemade coconut lavender conditioner. I found this great recipe via Free People, I tried it...and oh my, it's amazing! The smell is divine and it's very moisturizing, so you only need a little when using it, which will make it last a very long time. You need to try this! I would love to know what you think after trying it!

Love,
Lucia

What you need:
1 cup coconut oil (preferably organic)
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
1 teaspoon jojoba oil
5 drops lavender essential oil

You’ll also need a food mixer, as well as a container to store your conditioner. All of the ingredients can be purchased at most health food stores.

What you do:
Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix on high for about 8 minutes. Transfer into a container and you’re all set! Because coconut oil melts in high temperatures, those who live in warmth may want to store this in the refrigerator, but there is nothing wrong with using this conditioner in liquid form! This mixture should stay fresh until the coconut oil reaches its expiration date.

To use:
Apply a TINY amount of the conditioner to wet hair. You really only need a tiny bit to get the job done! Start at your ends, then jump to the section right below your ears, working into hair in a downward motion. You can apply any remaining oil to the hair that surrounds your face if necessary, but avoid using this near the top of your head. This mixture is made purely out of oils, so it can make your hair appear greasy if you use too much. I used a nickel-sized amount, and my hair is very long. Leave in for about 2-5 minutes, and then rinse.

*Bonus: Before you get out of the shower, apply the conditioner to your arms and legs – this mixture doubles as an incredibly moisturizing lotion!*

Arnhem Clothing

Hello sweethearts!

Oh my, I can't believe I haven't been anywhere close to my blog for over a week!! Working with retailers is good for my business, but bad for my health. For the past week I've been working so many hours a day (15 approx.), that I was too exhausted to post anything, and even worse, visit my favorite blogs!!! Ridiculous! I haven't forgot about you girls ;). Finally it's weekend again and I decided to drop my work for a few hours to catch up. Oh, bloggies, how I've missed you!!

I wanted to close this post with introducing you to a brand I've found online a couple of days ago, which I absolutely adore! It's called Arnhem Clothing. They have a gorgeous collection of Boho Hippie style clothing. Isn't it gorgeous?

Sorry for my absence, but I'm back, yeah! Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!

Lots of Love,
Lucia

Free People May Catalog 2013

Every time I think it can't get any better than this, Free People surprises me every time! Each month it gets better and better. And I get more irritated, because I know I can only buy a few pieces of their gorgeous collection! I have to say, the prices are ridiculous.
Anyway, the May catalog is out and it's yet again beautiful. Want to share some of my favorites with you girls! Isn't it divine?!

DIY Painted Feathers

Next to crafting all day for my work, I also like to try out cute DIY's in my free time. I found this amazing DIY on how to paint feathers via Free People. I love to dip dye fake feathers, but I never thought of painting a pattern on them. You can use these feathers for anything! You can use them for decoration in your house, braid them in your hair or add them to a cute necklace or bag. You don't need to be an artist to do this, it's actually very easy! Aren't they cute!?

Wishing everyone a lovely Sunday!
